Mom's visit

It's been over a week and we miss mom already. It was so nice having her here with us. We had a great time taking her to a few places...mostly we did some local things because she wanted to get a feel of the local life. Last year she went to all the big touristy places. So, this year it was different. She spent some time with some dear friends of ours and mainly focused on Michael. The first set of photos I'm posting are from our overnight stay in a beautiful little surf town called Kommetjie. We had some nice fellowship with our friends Julian and Monica. He is the Pastor at Calvary Chapel Kommetjie and then stayed at a friends B&B (which is the photo of us on the stoop=front porch). The scenic photo is taken from the balcony of her house and it shows the trail to walk to the beach. Michael was also helping this guy do some yard work. He is so helpful. The following day we headed for Hermanus(top photo&last photo), which is the Whale capitol. The coast photo. We saw whales. It was cool. We sat at this park on a cliff facing the waters where you just sit and watch them. I mean people who just work across the street probably get lunch and just sit and wait to see if they see one. So cool.....I am going to share more photos of moms visit in the next blog.
And, I have been totally meaning to write a mass e-mail to everyone just sharing with you how we are doing and things.....I will have to get to that soon. We miss our family and friends so much and know we always think about you. Please e-mail or even go snail mail route if that's what you are into. Would love to hear from you.....
