A few days ago we came across this creature. It is the rain spider of South Africa....supposedly they are harmless. This picture does not even show it's BIG size very well. This is the 3rd one I've seen since living here. The first night we moved in our new home is when I saw the first of the rain spider. The second one was outside in the garden and this 3rd one in our garage. It was right on top of a suitcase. I absolutely can not stand these beasts. This is definitely not one of the joys of living in South Africa.
On a better note...this morning while letting Biscuit (our new puppy) out for her morning potty and with coffee cup in hand I opened the door to this beautiful color in the sky. It even got brighter and brighter. It was so amazingly beautiful that I couldn't help but think about how lovely Gods creation is and how it's a beautiful start to a new day.
